Ideas & Tips

Offering Liquor

If you plan to offer liquor at your party, it's important to be responsible & considerate of your guests' safety. Limit the amount of alcohol that each guest can have & provide non-alcoholic drink options as well. It's important to monitor your guests' behavior & prevent anyone from driving under the influence. Consider having a designated driver or arranging transportation for your guests.

Beer Cooler

If your party is a BYOB, make sure to communicate this clearly in your invitation or when inviting guests. Ask guests to bring their own preferred drinks & any mixers they may need. It's also a good idea to provide some non-alcoholic drinks & mixers as well. Consider providing a designated area for guests to store their drinks and make sure to remind guests to drink responsibly and to not drive under the influence.

Host Prepared - Plan Ahead!

Planning ahead can save you a lot of time & stress. Consider making dishes that can be prepared in advance & stored in the fridge or freezer until you're ready to serve them. You could also opt for  finger foods or snacks that require little prep work, such as cheese & crackers, chips & dip, or veggies!

Host Prepared - Offer Variety

It's important to offer a variety of food options that can cater to different tastes and dietary preferences. Having a mix of sweet & savory snacks, as well as vegetarian & gluten-free or allergen free options.

Potluck - Theme

Having a theme for your potluck or game night can make it more fun & exciting for everyone involved. Example... You could have a Mexican-themed potluck where everyone brings a dish or game that fits the theme. This  encourages creativity & makes the event more memorable.

Potluck - Asking Guests to Bring Food

"To make the event more fun and enjoyable, we're asking all guests to bring a dish to share. We encourage you to bring your favorite appetizer, snack, or dessert that can be easily shared among everyone. We also recommend that you label your dish with the name of the dish and any ingredients that may be allergic to"
