Welcome to The Naughty List, the ultimate Christmas social deduction game where trust is dangerous, betrayal is inevitable, and only the most cunning will survive.
 
In this high-stakes holiday party game, players take on secret roles as Nice or Naughty. The Nice players must work together to uncover who's on the Naughty List before they take control, while the Naughty players must lie, manipulate, and banish the Nice players without getting caught.
 
Each round is filled with suspense as players compete in Reindeer Games, form alliances, vote at Santa's Workshop, and survive secret banishments to the Island of Misfit Toys.

How the Game Works:
✔ Players are secretly assigned roles:  Naughty or Nice
✔ Mingle, strategize, and gather suspicions as you navigate the game
✔ Compete in Reindeer Games to win powerful rewards that can change the course of the game
✔ Vote at Santa's Workshop to eliminate a suspected Naughty, but choose wisely!
✔ Survive the Mingle Banishment Phase, where the Naughty secretly eliminate a Nice each round
✔ The game ends when either all Naughty are eliminated (The Nice win) or the Naughty outnumber the Nice (The Naughty win)
 
This print-and-play experience is perfect for game nights, parties, and team-building events, offering endless suspense, strategy, and deception.    The host packet will take some time to read through, but if you are familiar with the TV game show, you already know how to play this game.

Important Notes:
The Host is an active role and will help facilitate all phases of the game, but not play. 
This game is played with 6–20+ players.  Fewer than 6 will not work but more than 20 can easily.
It is not a sit-down card game, players mingle, conspire, and compete in Reindeer Games.  
The game plays similarly to the TV series, including Santa's Workshop discussions and in-game eliminations.  If you are familiar with the show, you already know how to play our game. 
Cards are used only to support gameplay.  This is NOT a card game!
This game can be played in a few hours but you can also extend it to a weekend or even longer. 
The game is VERY adaptable and can be played again and again.

FAQ: 
Is this game acceptable for kids or church groups?
Yes!  This game is suitable for everyone.  Since you are picking the challenges, you can create games that meet the needs of your guests.  The host packet has some challenges (trivia, image match, etc..) as well as a ton of ideas for a variety of challenges from tame to insane.   We also have Pinterest boards with a ton of challenge and decor ideas for the game.   
 
What are the Challenges?  One of the best things about the game we have constructed, is how adaptable it is for YOUR event.  Pick challenges based on your group dynamic, so if mobility is restricted, pick games that focus more on trivia or stationary games.  If you have an all-out Parkour crowd, break out the outdoor challenges and encourage the competition.  It's up to you and flexible. 

Can the game be played virtually or in hybrid format?
Yes! With a bit of planning, you can host the game fully online (via Zoom or similar), or do a mix of virtual and in-person events. This is a great option for longer, week-long versions of the game.  

What happens if players arrive late or need to leave early?
The game is flexible. Players can be added or removed at the host’s discretion. You can introduce a new Nice mid-game or simply eliminate a character without disrupting gameplay.

What physical items are needed to play the game?
You’ll need:
A printer to print the game materials (We recommend this.  We also recommend laminating the game so you can play over and over without re-printing).
Pens/pencils and paper, chalk and chalkboards or dry erase pens and boards for voting.
Challenge supplies (simple items like dice, cards, string, balloons, etc.)
Optional: Prizes for winners, costumes, or a “shield” prop for the game
